When we found that the single bed would not fit in the small bedroom I decided that, rather than take it to the tip, I would put it on Freecycle and see if someone wanted it

Fairly quickly someone responded saying he had just moved in and had very little and would love it

He was supposed to be coming round this afternoon to collect it

so I waited in - had other things to do but I put them off

he didn;t turn up

why do people do that???

I use Freecycle because this seldom happens
but it is a pain when it does - we now have a bed blocking up the hall and I have to decide whether to move it and store it somewhere or leave it there for a while

We've been emptying the loft into a skip and some of the stuff we've found is just too nice to bin out of hand so Mrs D has been putting it on Faecesbook. It's all been gone within minutes!

Mind you, we also found a police laptop that Mrs D should have returned in 2013 when she was medically retired. In her defence she was very poorly indeed at the time and I was the one handling the return of her uniform and kit, so it was me that overlooked it. The lady on the front desk at Weston Fafell nick laughed most copiously when we handed it in yesterday.

Good morning folks, my Good Lady called for the commode just after I got up, so I've moved her from bed to commode to settee and now she's gone back to sleep, should be a quiet day today, though theres ironing to do and we might go out to lunch.

Very enjoyable meal had yesterday at Rich's Cider Farm with our mates.
Off to the garden centre this morning; I need some compost for my new raised beds.
