Morning folks its grim out...lashing rain and 50mph winds. Have been perusing turbo trainers to use on days like this- a budget one as im skint, so no bells n whistles but then cant see bells n whistles would improve the experience
Going to make some cheese n onion pasties today, would use puff pastry but cant seem to buy any which isnt naff so will make short crust instead. I shall use loads of strong chedder, a big handful of parsley and some chopped chillies havent made pastry or pasties for a while so it'll be like Basil Faulty in the kitchen

Turbo trainers? Mudguard are your friend :-)

Just walked the Mineral Line.
Lunch booked for 1.30 at the Star, so we dropped into the 'best pub in Somerset', just across the way, for some light refreshment - Janet's Jungle Juice,

I've got mine in the shed at the bottom of the garden.
When I use mine I take the bluetooth speaker and play music for an hour or so. It helps to keep up a rhythm and stop any boredom setting on.

I do the same with music whilst on the TT - it does help but I still can't get beyond 30 mins.

TBH, never gave tortillas a thought.
In fact, I don't recall EVER eating one.
Normally have nan with a curry so it should be ok.
I am also doing rice with it

It's Naan bread.

Tortillas are pretty much standard with chilli for obvious reasons.

For a change: cook your chilli in a deep frying pan, when it is finished cooking, crush a load of chilli or cheesy flavoured Doritos over it then a whole heap of grated cheddar over the Doritos. Spread out evenly & then throw a few thinly sliced fresh chillis on top of the cheese.

Then give it a few minutes under the grill untill the cheese bubbles and slightly browns.

And the rain is here. My weather ap said we could expect rain by 1 pm. Its gone very dark as well and the temp has dropped.

We are expecting a grandson at around 2 pm, so we are having a mixed grill. He did drop a hint about food yesterday.

FINALLY someone has come and taken the single bed I have been trying to get rid of for several days

but it on everything for free - several people asked about it
2 said they were coming to collect and didn;t turn up

Gosh, that was a tragic accident that young ice hockey player had!

I'm due to be moving house on Monday so it is likely that for the next few days I will not be about much, if at all.

I don't want you lot worrying because of my recent anxiety flare up. I'm fine, Mrs D is with me, and I'll check in when I can.

That’s quick! I think I would need at least three months to sort out my treasured possessions (which Mrs @BoldonLad described as “junk”). 😊

Cheese pasties turned out very well served them with coleslaw and pickled beetroot, very morrish ...might snaffle another one later
Will soon be the proud owner of a turbo trainer Tenkaykev has very kindly offered to post me one !So when winter arrives proper with 3ft of snow i can keep spinning rather than dissolving into the sofa
