Morning. Wow, that all went very quickly. Around here any house moves seem to take several weeks.

Not much above freezing here so I’ll head up through the town and do my hill walk. That’ll soon warm me up.

Drago's sale was a px so once the value etc were agreed it can all happen very quickly.
I am 'selling' my house to the family for a nominal figure so that should be quick. They have agreed a sale to a couple who are renting at present so there is no chain.....but even that is taking a long time......estimate is January.

Morning all :hello:

Off to sample the delights of the new ALDI store on the outskirts of Taunton this morning.
Might do a bit of gardening when I get back, depending on the weather.

Our move took 7 months from offer acceptance to moving in.
In theory, it should have been very simple - only 3 parties involved and we were cash buyers in the middle. Nothing is ever simple!
Was worth it in the end, though.

Got me thinking (which can be dangerous).
We moved in here 1982.
The "owner" had PXd to Bovis so technically we were buying off them. The guy buying ours paid cash .......everything went through very quickly.
The estate told us that that the Bovis manager told his secretary to write to us telling us we had not been successful and to Mr ?? accepting their offer.
The secretary got the wires crossed and we got the acceptance letter.
We have had many happy years here and now my daughter and family have "bought" it and I will take the granny flat.
