The Retirement Thread

A full volunteer roster at Junior parkrun this morning so no need for Mrs TKK and I to attend. We've a busy couple of weeks ahead, tomorrow sees the arrival of the bathroom fitters ( outstanding communications from them, detailing when the stuff will arrive from the Plumbing supplies company etc ) Tuesday sees us off to London for an overnight stay before continuing our journey to Newcastle. Mrs TKK will be doing a couple of days of research at the University / Library / Archives, so I'll have to amuse myself 🤔🍺. Then we're off to Leeds to visit eldest daughter for a few days. The day after we return sees the arrival of the Solar PV / Home Battery installers so a bit more disruption there.
Hopefully we'll be able to settle back to a routine after all the various works are complete.

Morning again.

It's cool, but bright and pleasant here. Walked a couple of miles then ran for just over 3. Bath had and just about to tuck in to my porridge.

It's my birthday today - into my 7th decade now.
Best mates are coming around at midday and are taking me and MrsD out for Sunday lunch at the White Horse.

I managed to get a short but enjoyable walk in.
Just messaged my SiL to say its a beautiful day and within 5 minutes its hissing down.

I put a load of washing out. I managed to rush out and bring it in before the heavens opened. It's now hanging up in my workroom.

Breaded haddock. We have had a few big meals ( for us anyway) lately, so it will probably be haddock with a bread roll. We have a couple of par bake ones left that need eating. I might have some beetroot with it as well.
