Morning all :hello:

Hopefully, got someone coming this morning to pick up two sofas that I'm giving away on FB. I'll believe it when it happens. Been let down before by someone who was full of enthusiasm for them, said they were picking them up and didn't show. Why do people do this?
Might have a stroll down to Doniford Farm Park at lunchtime for their carvery.

Morning all.
It's a bit breezy out there at the moment, but there are no clouds in the sky.
After this mornings dog walk, I am having a cooking day. Fish pie for dinner and whilst the oven is on I am going to cook a bread pudding. I got a white loaf which was reduced in price a few days back from Mark's and Spencer no less. I have all the other ingredients in the cupboard. Mixed fruit, mixed spice, cinnamon nutmeg, muscovado sugar, mixed chopped peel. I have never cooked it before, although my old mum used to make it often when I was a youngster. I'll see how my effort compares to hers and the version you can buy in bakers and cafes.

What a dreadful night. I have had. I dropped off to sleep OK but woke at 0100 with really bad stomach pains and feeling very 'up chucky'. Eventually I was sick but it only bile.
I was cold but sweating and shaking. My son and DiL were staying and were very good.
Without getting graphic, at 0500 I had a small success at the loo and the pain eased off enough to let me sleep. I have just woken.......Still not 100% but much better than I was.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I see the A470 road that collapsed has now re opened. They have done enough work to allow it to be opened again with traffic lights. Error. Those traffic light have been there for 2 years. And they said they detected minor defects some time ago.
This doesn't look like a minor defect either. They are telling porkies. And there has been uproar from drivers having to use a track to get round it causing chaos. At least we can use it for now.

It's only on one side of the road, there's always the other side!
Until the water undercuts it further at least.

Exactly. That's why they have traffic lights in place. And of course there is no guarantee that it won't get worse.

Apparently they aren't due to fix it until 2025 so the lights will have been there for 4 plus years. You gotta laugh
