Took the car to give it a run and went to Comrie 6 miles away and had a walk there for a change. Nice little loop someone told me about. About 3.7 miles on a mix of very quiet road and well surfaced track. It would make a nice little running loop too. There's a fork in the trail at one point. Us minions go to the left, but if you take a right there's an absolutely massive big white house. Don't know who it belongs to but they must be millionaires going by the size of it. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Arabs. They seem to buy up all these type of properties.

Pizza for us today.

I'm thinking of changing broadband providers. With EE I'm paying £40 a month and any calls I make cost more. That's a lot just for broadband.

I would guess that with a bit of haggling you will be able to almost halve that!

Depends what your available options. are of course, given that you don't exactly live in an urban conurbation.

A few people I know don't have a landline. They have a mobile phone with data plan and use their mobile as a wireless " hot spot " to connect to the internet. Just checked Lebara ( Vodafone) and you can get unlimited data / texts / phone calls for £22.50 on a rolling 30 day contract.

With regard to T'internet. My saga with my Fibre to the premises install process got me a free month, but I am still subscribed to my original provider ( Zen Internet ) This is because Mrs Tkk has to submit her dissertation electronically by 11th January, so I'm keeping both contracts running concurrently until her work is submitted and receipt acknowledged. Paranoid, me? Yes. It's worth the extra £25 for the extra peace of mind.

Indeed. I do more or less exactly that in my motorhome (but, using a router with SIM instead of a hotspot). I currently pay £14/month for that with "3", deals vary and come along all of the time. Only issue is speed, unless you can get 5g, then, it is unlikely to match landline broadband, and of course, fibre is even faster.

Rather like Car Insurance, the answer to lower bills is:
