Good morning all.
Uncle Ernie has been kind again, £150 this month. MrsP got £200.
The weather is supposed to be a bit better today, so I may be able to get out on the bike for a while.
Dog walking around the sodden fields may be out, I'll have to stick to the paths today. Some domestics will have to be done, then I can relax.

Just about to go to bed but wanted to report something

The grand-daughter (11) went on one of the 2 day school trips to an outdoor centre - it was just before Christmas
Anyway - she said she really enjoyed Archery and indoor climbing

we looked at archery - very expensive and you have to join clubs and all that

Indoor climbing walls - at least some of them - are easier and there are a couple nearby that you can just turn up to

so we took her today

now she is 11 going on 14 and generally if it is not on an iPad or one of her friends is involved then it is normally "boring"
and if she suffers any pain or discomfort at all then she gives up

however, this afternoon she was with us at the climbing plave for about 3 hours and was up and down walls and hanging off things most of the time
on her own - with me at the bottom being encouraging - sort of - she didn;t need me really

her hands were hurting as the hold are rought for friction - and covered with chalk residue which dries the skin out badly

but she just had a break for a few minutes and was off again

I have never seen her so happy doing something active - or so determined to keep going

wonderful to see

now if only I can get her to not get afraid of the height after she gets about 10 foot up then she will be off!!!

still - the 10 foot was at the end - at the start it was more like 4 foot!!!!

anyway - lovely afternoon!!

night night

That's great to hear, I go for my physio to a local school that has a swimming poole and sports centre attached. There's a big poster offering free " taster " sessions for climbing, hadn't thought about it for our granddaughter. 👍

Good day all.
Another good sleep, this time till 0815. I quite enjoy It occasionally.
Supposed to be dry all day but it's raining  .
Croisants for breckie again. They come in packs of 4, have a short life and you can't freeze them.
Apart from that, not much happening.

Right - need to actually do something today

Car is booked in for service - not expecting good news - there have been advisories on the MOT for the last 3 years
expecting they need doing this year!

anyway - just about to have some toast then put the bike in the back of the car so I can take it up there and cycle back

no idea about picking it up as it will probably be raining later!!

we shall see

have not checked Ernie yet
but Omaze are being damn slow about telling me I won that house a week or so ago!!!

Oooo. My phone call with Ovo yesterday seems to have had success at last, but I'm scared to get too excited as the last time I thought things were sorted they then proceeded to muck it up again. However, as of this morning I am no longer £6,000 in debt but nearly £2,000 in credit

Distracted when they said you no longer owed them, and head in a spin when you were told you were £2,000 in credit no doubt.

Good for you. And it knocks ERNIE's award into touch.

I've downloaded all the updated bills so I have them for reference should it go pear shaped again. It's getting that I am a nervous wreck every time I log in to my account with them. Here's hoping I can relax now.
