It’s not been a bad year for beasties though. I don’t miss the flies, but it’s a bit worrying how little bees, wasps, butterflies, etc there are.

We thought about a camper when we retired. The thought was long, lazy summers touring the continent. We identified two potential issues:
£50,000 buys a lot of B&BDivorce is even more expensive than a van
We had a campervan conversion, then with the miners strike, 3 day week we couldn't afford to keep it. We never bought another one after that.
The Edinburgh tottoo is on TV soon (next week?) and I enjoy that.
Or renting out their house whilst they have a long holiday.I think more and more people are living in vans as they can't afford the stupid rent that they have to pay in some towns.
The general UK insect population has been decimated by pollution, climate change, habitat destruction and agricultural pesticide.Very few here too. All the rain?
