Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
My experience to. As long as I get the ingredients right.
Fresh yeast does make a huge difference.

I love the fact that you can easily get spares for the Panasonic.

I like the fact that once I set it up with size, how, how well done I want it, it stays thY way and I don't have to change any settings. All I have to do is put the ingredients into it and press the start button. So much better than the other one

I thought everyone now has to have a min of 10 years national insurance payments to get a pension.

Not sure - but as she has 3 kids the time off with young children will help her out there

we shall see - I can see us having to go up there and help her sort it all out

If we need to help her husband than I will be depending on people here for sympathy and stuff
he is the most dumb person I have ever met (and I was a teacher!!!!!) and he and I have zero in common - but if he needs help it will me me that has to help him
my wife would suddenly be very very ill (and if she is I will make sure she pays for it - and she will consider it worth while!!!)

anyway - that's a few year off yet

Hello. I just had a wonderful experience. I will explain.
I was sitting at the table , on my computer , when I heard this thumping sound. I got up and looked out of the window and saw this little black bird flat out on its back. He must have flown into the French doors. So I went out and picked him up gently in the palm of my hand and rubbed his belly whilst talking to him. After a while, he turned round on my hand and just stood still. Eventually he jumped off and went.
I felt so good about the whole episode and hope he is fine and flying happily again.

Had a busy day today, worked for a couple of hours then loaded up the car with all the scrap from repairing our decking and took it all to the tip.

Then cleaned both cars out and also washed the ground floor windows

Finally took my youngest out for some driving practice as he has his test in a couple of weeks. Now slumped on the sofa with a cup of tea!

as she has never paid any National Insurance at all - she is "scared" of having to pay any tax but never breaks any laws - then I really don;t want to get involved!!

If this is correct, and I don't doubt you but possibly what you've been told, she won't get a state pension. The minimum qualifying period is 10 years of NI contributions and 35 for the full pension. I don't know what the scale is between 10 and 35 years.

Right well

It my Birthday

otehrwise known as "The day I SHOULD have been getting my old age pension"
before the government - dunno which one - changed the ages

OK - only 1 year at the moment - but ....

I was wondering about starting a male equivalent of the women's WASPI campaign -

but that would be called MASPI

which sound more like something that happens when the CycleChat Retirement Thread men's section all have a weekend away
and spend the evening in the pub
then get caught short on the walk back to the campsite and stop off in the woods

anyway - in case it was not obvious my birth certificate says I am 65
or - according to my Mum - I will be at 10:30 tonight

She was desperate for me to be born before midnight so my birthday would be the same as my GranDad's

or so I was told - I don't remember that bit
Talking birth certificate, where'd you get one of those? Most are just on paper, and require reading.

Hope you enjoyed today.

There was such a thing called home responsibilities protection. While a mother was at home looking after the kids, NI contributions should have been accrued. In some cases though it wasn't and the records were destroyed after a certain length of time. This happened to me. I didn't have this added to my NI record.

You can go online and apply for that time to be added to your NI record. I think there are lots of people who have done it. I havmt heard back yet. Its been months. I might have to contact them again just to remind them I did it online and kept a copy so I can just print it off and send it to them

Barnet,
The Martin Lewis money show tonight is talking about state pension and NI qualifying years and what to do if you have a shortfall in payment years. ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
