I currently sail a Devoti D-zero, which is a slightly bigger, a lot faster, 2015 take on a Laser type singlehander. ( It’s a terrific boat especially if you sail on a biggish big of water with cleanish winds .Down sides, the hull is a bit draggy in light wind and its tacks slowly. If I sailed at large reservoir like Draycote or chase water there is no way I would think about changing.
What I am thinking of changing back to is a Lightning 368, which shorter, slower , faster tacking 1980s take on a Laser type singlehander .
In an idea world I would go back to British moth sailing but history has taught me that Mrs exlaser and I sailing in the same type of boat is just asking for marital disharmony. 😂😀 .
First two pics are D-zeros . Second two are lightning 368. Last is a British moth.

I'm jealous

Its a long time since I stopped sailing every week

I have always missed it - but sometime life gets in the way!

I totally understand that.
But it is easier for Mrs exlaser and I . As even if one of us is pissed of with sailing the other one isn’t . I just love the whole routine of going to the club . A good sail is a bonus, it’s the social interaction before and after the race that’s the important thing. 😀

Good morning. The weather forecast is good for today and all week. Wall to wall sunshine with the chance of showers on Wednesday. The Paul forecast is he will need a nap. Awake since 2.00am.

#2SP today. I must saddle up and head off to Manchester in an hour or so.

Today's useless new fact. In North America the grasshopper is known as a katydid. There you go, tuck that away for the next pub quiz.
