I found three Bass fillets in the freezer, God knows how long they have been there so thawed them out and they smelt OK so I steamed them and tasted OK too so I have just made two fish pies :hungry:

If you don't post tomorrow we will know why 😆

I only make gushy noises for kittens and puppies  🐶🐈

Mercifully, we have always lived hundreds of miles away from our grandchildren.

We just can't be doing with having children around. We love animals though.

Mixed bag amongst our friends, some are constantly involved with their one-step removed offspring (fair enough - each to their own) and there are a surprising number that are very reluctant grandparents having only minimal contact with them.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Thank god mine are all adults now. I've told them that I won't be able to look after great grandchildren ever as I am a poor old lady and can't manage. They seem to find that statement a tad funny.

Ours are all older teens now too & like you we will not be getting involved with great-grandkids.

Also can't stand watching parents fuss around their grown-up children who have left home. Constantly solving every problem they encounter and generally interfering in their lives.

My grand children thankfully are quite self sufficient I'm glad to say.

What the feck is wrong with me  Yet another attack of the munchies. I went round and bought some iced ginger bread and ate a couple of big slices and I’m now eating fruit pastilles. It’s like a bloody drug.

Sounds normal to me? If I open a bar of chocolate, packet of sweets, etc etc, I cannot stop munching until they are all gone.

Mrs @BoldonLad is much more disciplined, she can open a bar of chocolate and eat one. square, then, put the rest away for another day.

She is annoying, but, the good thing is, when she retrieves her bar of chocolate, the next day, and, I have eaten all of mine, she might give me a few squares ;)
