Mrs D has landed herself a new job. As you may recall, she had just qualified as a teacher when covid all kicked off and due to her being medically vulnerable the principal made her his PA at no loss of pay to shield her (his PA had just left, so it wasn't a made up job.)

Last year she became business manager at the largest school in the county, and she has just landed herself a plum role as director of operations at a large, prestigious and nationally known private school just across the county line. Massive rise in pay, almost triple what she was on as business manager and she was on a good crack there.

So I'm very proud of her as I reach for the Rickenbacker catalogue.

Good afternoon all.
The downstairs has been vacuumed, the downstairs toilet underlay and carpet replaced after last weeks toilet incident.
The outside windows on the ground floor have been washed, and the indoor windows have been cleaned.
Several shrubs in the garden have been pruned and the patio swept.
I need a cup of tea and a sit down.

I am very cross. I have been hit by a car as I walked along the pavement 75 yards from my home. I'm not at all hurt. Just raging. I walked down from my garage at school run time, the pavement is not wide enough for two people to pass each other, there's a section of road with cars parked on one side where a large vehicle struggles to pass without mounting the kerb.

The self-entitled, selfish, unthinking mother of little Johnny driving a huge Range Rover hit me just above the elbow with her wing mirror. I turned to look, she didn't even touch her brakes despite the mirror being pushed inwards.

What is it with these people? Where do they get off? Imagine if I had been a small child at head height to the wing mirror.

Shouldn't she have stopped, after striking a pedestrian?, wouldn't that count as an RTA?, report it to the Police.

What is it with these people and so called prestige cars.

A driver of a BMW was following me along a narrow country road so close tat I could only see his wind shield.

I had to slow down to 10 mph as there was a cyclist in front of me.Much tooting of horn as he tried to pass Much laughter from me as the attempted overtake was just before bend where he had to slam his brakes on as he was confronted by a tractor and trailer.

The last view of him through my rear view mirror was being confronted by very angry tractor driver

Been playing hooky as I drove to Colorado, flew to Southern Mexico and have been visiting my bro n sis in law. Eating very well and enjoying a rustic lifestyle. It is going to be snowing this week at home in Casper Wyoming while it is 87F here in Oaxaca. Be safe and well. Happy belated birthday WD and condolences NN.

Its blue (recycle) bin day. Its green also but we are hoping the gardner gets here early enough to complete the garden before they collect.......being a new year we don't know where will fit it time wise.
