Q day. Got a visitor this morning, then up the Drummers Arms at lunchime with Bruce for my Friday guinness. Bruce likes the unsalted peanuts they sell there.

It's a sunny start to the day here Barnet.
This afternoon I have a meeting of the escape committee at the Railway Bell. All 6 members will be in attendance. Our international traveller is back from Australia for a while.
Sainsbury's are delivering the fortnightly order. I seem to get less and less for the money.

Yay! Tis Fish Friday
Unfortunately, I won't be partaking as we're too busy.
Got several deliveries coming today, that we need to stay in to receive, and we've got all of our best mates coming over this evening.

Heavy overnight rain has seen the river by our chalet rise even higher, if it continues we'll be getting a boat back to Poole on Monday istead of the train🤔☔️☔️

Good morning from a sunny Coventry. We were at my Brother In Laws yesterday afternoon, an elderly relative is in a care home and its difficult to visit so they were supposed to be bringing them over but in the end there was a problem with the transport and it got cancelled, but my brother in law had already got food in and our taxi was booked, buses are on strike here, so we went over, their house is not wheelchair friendly, steps into the house and the doors are only an inch wider than the chair, but we had a good afternoon and it got my Good Lady out the house.

Turning bright here. Hopefully it warms up- I love having the back door and French doors open all day. The garden is secure so Bruce can come and go as he chooses.

Back from a 9k walk with the dog in very gusty conditions. Fed up of the cold days and the rain and looking forward to the clock changing an hour . Have to sand all the upstairs doors before painting them now. Such a boring bloody task but her indoors wants all her doors painted . Two large cups of coffee and I am away ! Incidentally , i heard the results of a survey on drinking lots of coffee daily. Those who do sleep 36 mins less per night on average but walk 1000 steps more each day.

Folding bed sold and picked up.
Unpacked the last of our removal boxes.
The sun's out, so I'm going to sit on the verandah and have a cuppa before our new fridge freezer is delivered in the next hour.
It's very sheltered out there and a bit of a sun trap.
