BLOODY STUPID BIN COLLECTION RULES!!!
Today is blue (recycle) day.
So......I put some plastic in.
Back from hospital and there is a sticker on to say they hadn't emptied it because it was "the wrong sort of plastic".
It was a white towel rack. Its plastic FFS.
How am I supposed to know what is right/wrong type of plastic???

We gave in and went to the fish and chip shop

We've been down the cafe today, we didn't have enough bread in the house so I made an executive decision, put my Good Lady in her wheelchair and took her out to lunch.

In other news we've won a tenner each on the Postcode Lottery.

I have one of those a well not the cake, the actifry. Lol

I'm going to push the boat out and have a go at icing it. Our running club has an annual challenge that involves various activities, one of which is a " Bake Off " I have a bottle of " Gold Strike " cinnamon liqueur that has flakes of 24 carat gold suspended in it. I was going to experiment with using it in a sugar icing so hopefully that would be flecked with gold 🤔
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing 😄

Ours don’t take hard plastic. Things like plastic plant pots can’t go in the recycling bin. are local garden centre have a bin for plant pots and old compost bags.I just save them and take them to garden centre That’s if I remember.🤪🤪🤪

You would have to ice it for me. I have a weird phobia and hate looking at things covered in holes. Gives me the creeps.

I have the Tefal Actifry. I made a Barm Brack a couple of days ago and instead of a loaf tin I chucked it in the Air Fryer. It was a bit experimental but came out ok. The hole in the middle is caused by the way the machine is designed, there's a removeable paddle that slowly turns things over when fitted, greaat for chips.
the size is about 9 1/2" by 1 1/2" .
I left the fruit soaking for a couple of days in a blend of strong tea, the remains of a bottle of Amaretto and a generous slug of Tia Maria.

Since I was up just after 5 and have cycled and walked, I think I might have a little siesta. My Garmin says my body battery is low anyway!

I had loads of nice things planned today .
But Mrs exlaser mentioned the bath was emptying slowly. So I checked out the whole system , it was fine. Then I noticed the outside drain was also emptying a little slow. So I thought I would lift the manhole cover.
I found the problem 😂😂😂
Spent lunch time phoning round to get someone to sort it . The cheaper ones couldn’t do today so I had to use dyno rod . It definitely wasn’t the cheapest option, but they came and sorted the problem with in a hour and a half so I’m happy to pay the extra money.
Think I will do nice things for the rest of the day, starting out with going to buy wine.

A bit late to mention this, but, if the drain is a shared drain, your water company will unblock it for free. Quite how a typical member of public is supposed to “recognise” a shared drain I am unsure. My son-in-law happens to be a Civil Engineer, specializing in drainage, so, he told me our drains were shared drains.
