It’s a real thing. Trypophobia.

When that question comes up on the chase I will be able to short the answer at the TV šŸŒžšŸŒž

A bit late to mention this, but, if the drain is a shared drain, your water company will unblock it for free. Quite how a typical member of public is supposed to ā€œrecogniseā€ a shared drain I am unsure. My son-in-law happens to be a Civil Engineer, specializing in drainage, so, he told me our drains were shared drains.

Cheers. I didn’t know either until the Dyno rod man told me a couple of hours ago . šŸ˜€

I might try emailing severn Trent’s complaints dept with a pic of my dyno rod bill asking them to pay .

I am not holding my breath, my sailing club hasn’t had enough water pressure to run our showers for months and severn trent still havnt sorted it . Not withstanding the fact we get our water directly from a severn trent building .

A house two doors down had the same problem. He rang seven Trent .Two days was the earliest I had some old chimney sweep rods in the garage .A bit of prodding and poking soon cleared the problem.

Am thinking about trying to trying and pick up some rods for the next times it’s happens. I know I am going to sound like a old fart, but the problem is young people putting wet/baby wipes down the loo.

You would have to ice it for me. I have a weird phobia and hate looking at things covered in holes. Gives me the creeps.

Yes it is weird - I have this too.

I can't look at eg Lotus seed pods or those strange images that are photoshopped of eg someones hand with a recess in it and some sort of image inside it.

You are the first person I have 'known' with it - no one else understands what we sufferers are on about ime.

Makes me feel physically ill to look at them and I want to gag.

It's called Trypophobia - although it is not medically recognised AFAIK. EDIT - just read your post and you have heard of it @Mo1959

Other things that get me going include:

All the little seeds racked up inside eg a chilli,

Lots of little wavy fronds,

Those x-ray images of a child's face with all the baby teeth and adult teeth stacked up - they make me want to vomit.

All the little solid, but canting outward, pieces of rock on eg Striding Edge.

Etc..

Yuk!!!

I've just been giver a Lakeland Digital Crisp Air Fryer
are they any good ?

I don’t have the Lakeland model, but, I recently bought a small (2 litre), ASDA own brand (George Home), air fryer. It was only Ā£25. The idea was to use it in our Motorhome. So far, I have only used it at home, and have cooked frozen McCain chips, and ā€œrealā€ sweet potato chips. I am impressed. The portion size is fine for 2, you would need a bigger unit for a family.

Its been a lovely sunny day here, only slightly spoilt by a strong cold breeze, having taken my Good Lady to lunch I spent the afternoon in the garden, grass got cut and tidied, interesting that the strimmer lost its line feed whilst I did the front, the first time I've had to touch the line feed on this one and it took me a few minutes to find my way in. I've also rescued a couple of Pansies, they were getting swamped by the Campanula so I moved them, I also divided one of the Campanula, unfortunately most of the Angel Wings I planted didn't survive the winter.

I couldn’t get on with a line feed strimmer .It either didn’t feed the line or fed to much.Borrowed one with plastic blades that was quite good.
I was in America and was talking to a neighbour of my stepson he was mowing the lawn .He said just got to get the weed eater out to do the edges I showed my ignorance of things American and asked what a weed eater is.He showed me .I said we call it a strimmer. He said well mine eats weeds . On the strength of that we enjoyed a bottle each of Blue Moon beer.Actualy over the week we had a few beers togetheršŸŗšŸŗšŸŗ
