Good morning.
A difficult and long day for me** yesterday. Sat in the hospital for 4 hours and those chairs are not designed for old bones.
**not as bad as it is for MrsD of course.
Was in bed by 21.15 and slept till 0610 (minus pee breaks).
Off to Aldi soon as I need water, milk and eggs plus maybe a banana.

It's a lovely sunny start to the day here in Barnet.
Uncle Ernie has come up trumps, 2 x £50, and 1 x £100😁
Later on today myself and 2 of the escape committee are off to the Oakham brewery in Peterborough, for research purposes of course.

Off to pick up some staging for one of my greenhouses first thing, then pottering in the garden for the rest of the day unless we walk into Watchet for the market and a spot of lunch.
Barbecue planned for tonight.

I never really settled down here in the Belly Button of England. I have to ties to the area, it means little to me, and as soon as Mrs D retires I'm moving back home north or the border. But on a morning like this I can almost dig it.

Just after midnight, lying in bed, I heard repeated squealing noises from the garden. Struggled to remember when I'd heard similar, and realised it was almost certainly hedgehogs mating. Drifted off to sleep, hoping that one of the trailcams would have some interesting footage.
Well. imagine my feelings when I checked the trailcams this morning and found... that I'd forgotten to put the memory cards back in yesterday.
Creeping galloping senility!
On the brighter side, I won £125 on the premium bonds, while Mrs Poacher won £650. Best result yet!
