Morning all :hello:

Weather's looking better today, so we're off on the steam train to the Quantock Brewery at 10.39. We'll walk down to our local station around 15 minutes before the train is due. It's a strange experience standing on the platform and holding your arm out to request the train to stop - never quite sure whether the driver has seen you.
We'll grab a pasty on the buffet car and a couple of pints in the brewery before having a look around the railway museum.
It was MrsD who suggested we do this today. Who am I to refuse?

Welcome to the thread and hope you become a permanent fixture here. ^_^

What a thing to wish on anybody ;)

Morning

currently watching the Giro from Yesterday

builders should be here soon - finish date has gone back again so it looks like next week now - hopefully Monday or Tuesday but I'm not holding my breath

later on we are kid sitting again - only the afternoon so only a few hours - not sure of the 10 year old will be off school or not but I think she should be.
Anyway - I think I just heard a door close - so the young lad the builder have working with them has probably arrived - he is normally first!

Good morning all, thank you for the welcome messages. Woke at 5am with a painfull back ( is this the start of becoming a OAP 😊) so no cycling for me so went for a six miles walk instead so l could get my 10,000 steps in before the day starts. Cloudy here but dry at the moment. Hope you all have a good day.

Morning. A pleasant 8 degrees and dry here.

I drove through to Comrie to give the car a run, parked there and then jogged out and back a lovely little back road. Kept the heart rate in zone 2 so it was very slow but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw the herd of wild goats that roam around there and heard my first Cuckoo.

We have wild goats on the Great Orme here and sometimes they come down into the town which I think is great.

Barnet,
Morning all, the dog has been walked, I've been to the doctor's, my knees are really starting to try my patience now. He has sent me for X-rays on both knees, and given me stronger pain killers. Osteoarthritis is most likely, but the last time they were X-rayed was 2017. So at least I am in the system now.
The sun is shining, for the time being, so I am going to cycle up to the local hospital for the walk in X-ray clinic. I could be a while😁

We 'used' to hear a Cuckoo regularly and then then they built a housing estate 😐
