We ended up with braised brisket, brocoli, new potatoes, Yorkshire pud and gravy and of course English mustard.

You’ve just made me think it’s ages since we have had brisket Non of the local butchers seem to stock it

Used to go regularly to Loughborough my home town on a Saturday morning to the market .The butcher who has a stall on the market was a regular port of call to buy Brisket

Looks as though a trip to Loughborough is on the cards this coming Saturday 🥩🥩🥩

I'm sure you've check carefully but I don't think being contracted out has an impact on the standard state pension. It does influence Additional State Pension (SERPS).

This is correct - my £14600 was reduced to £11600.

Most nights imo - we only watch iPlayer, Netflix & Prime these days. Only watch selected prog's - no more putting the TV on early evening and leaving it on until bedtime.

Lots of people. My kids would qualify for Italian passports and possibly Ukrainian! Not sure about the second from several aspects.

I've a good friend who lives in California who travels into the UK on her British passport and back into the States on her American one. She used to use the British one in Europe but that doesn't work so well now.

I was up at 0500. I really didn't want to but I was wide awake.

One was from my native country the other was for convenience. I needed an EU one.

Coooooeeeeee. It was a cold night here. 1 deg. Now it's 4 deg so still chilly but it should be another nice day here. The sun is shining.
