Good morning from Lamlash. What a nice place, I think I'm going to like Arran. We have a very good groundfloor appartment about 200 yards from the sea, 'tis very quiet. Dull and overcast forecast for today but wall to wall sun tomorrow. I had a very short sleep, nothing to do with the accommodation, just one of those things. Feeling a bit woozy!!! Not much to report, I will see what the day brings

Having a :cuppa: and a cream cake, the market my have shrunk but the cake stall is still going strong. Son and grandson aren't coming up this morning, just the Stepchildren, both in their fifties now. I've washed out the tablet boxes dried them, topped them up and ordered what tablets my Good Lady needs online.

Our table was booked on Friday afternoon, we've been looking forward to it since then.
Hope it'll be worth the wait.

Been for a ride with my stepson who is 20 years younger than me. 32kms done and the age difference really shows. We stopped at a sea side cafe in Pen but they don't take cards so we went without. I don't understand places that don't take cards, they must lose a fair bit of business like that.
There is so much cost involved in taking cards, you have the monthly fee and/or you have a percentage of the amount, you have the chance of chargebacks each which are £15 whether in your favour or not, then you have the audit trail, with cash there isn't one.
