Nearly finished Mr WD's shed. Only about a third at the back needs doing and I can't reach it. I don't do steps or ladder, so he will have to do it himself.

Popped out for another couple of miles before the heat builds up. I will just do what the foreigners do and chill and have siestas in the afternoons when it’s like this.
I stopped and spoke to a lovely guy with a laden bike to ask where he was going and had a good natter with him. He was Swiss but had perfect English. He had come up through Stirling and was heading to Perth then Edinburgh. Interesting bike called Tour de Suisse. It had a belt drive and hub gears but they were in the bottom bracket area rather than the rear wheel hub. He was chuffed with our weather

Well I had to - asking the 2 year old to chip in would not be productive
asking the 10 year old would be even less so - but I would at least get an intelligible reply (which might change in a few years!!!)
EDIT - just to be clear - I also had to pay for them because other wise I wouldn;t be able to have one myself
well - I could but the looks and complaints would be annoying

This is Sunday's walk, with me in attendance, on a folding bicycle,
and, todays, with me in attendance on foot, and, slowing her down significantly! (ie 24 minutes per mile with me, 20 minutes per mile without me). It is worth noting it is fairly easy terrain, good surface, not too hilly.

Anyway - no kids today - did do a quick Tesco run (farm shop is closed today!) for milk and stuff - took my bike to be good - only 3ish miles there and back
plan for today involves a ride round the canals I think - tends to be shady and there are nice boats putputting back and forth at this time of year

Cleaned the car this morning, changed the beds, got two machines of washing done, third load on as I type, found out that Food Whitehall was open so we've been out to lunch, Stepson's coming round later and we're down the club tonight. I've also had one of those friend requests on facebook, an easy on the eye young lady from Houston, a bit older than they usually are, in her twenties I think, but no mutual friends on her friends list and I've never met her either, the friend request got deleted.

I am finally getting my car fixed. I'm taking it down to the garage tomorrow morning. Its about 2 miles away so I will walk back home once I drop it off.
Mt WD said it will be drive rothe garage. Its just that the suspension won't the there.
Its about dam time it was fixed can't blame the garage though as they do rallying and get the cars ready for them abd we have had 3 Bank Holidays as well, but I want my car back on the road ASAP

Had a relatively quiet day with a short walk in Allean Forest near Loch Tummel and another along Killiecrankie Gorge. Will probably mean something to Mo but doubtless no one else. The weather has been glorious, very warm.
It's a bank holiday and we're surprised by the number of pubs and cafes closed but then there are no people around so not surprising I suppose.
Perhaps you've all heard the recent news reports about unusually high numbers of bee swarms. Nine have been reported in our village FB group. Some folk want to know who to ring, others simply enjoy watching them.
