Well that was some night at the Irish club. The REM tribute band was truly amazing.
0200 when I crawled into bed.
Now you would think that entitled me to a good lie in but the gods of duvets said otherwise and it was 0600 when they made me get up.

It was the rain gods having a laugh with me as usual. It was dull but dry when I first got up and had my usual cuppa and browse. Out the door for my walk and literally within seconds the rain started and got heavier all the way round my walk, only for it to ease when I was almost home. I need to find some way to outsmart them. Maybe a disguise or something

Good day. Bright and very breezy, 20+ gusting to 30 I reckon. Heavy rain forecast from 10.00. Another diabolical night. Bed for 10.00pm, wide awake 1.00am till 5.30ish then a couple of fitfull hours sleep. 😩

The club had to cancel our annual track race day due to weather forecast. I also cancelled the slowest of our Saturday rides for the same reason.

Another coffee, stretches, breakfast and then allotment time till the rain comes.

Out tonight to friends to eat followed by Canasta. I'll need to sleep first, probably through the Ladies' singles final.

Right - off to Little Moreton Hall today with the annoying Grand-daughter (who stayed overnight last night)

it is good for her to get away from her 2 brothers - who are quite a bit younger than her - for a little bit - also gives her parents a bit of a rest

so - we are doing the cultural bits - as her Mum and Nan keep her well up with things like shopping and stuff which we do'nt do so much of!

anyway - no cycling today from the look of it!

I have belatedly risen!

Playing a gig tonight, won't be home until the small hours so permitted myself a rare lay in with the delicious Mrs D.
