Well. That was quite eventful

The cycling? Yes. Enjoyed it. Silly mistake from Pogacar though.

Out in out and in again, I'm out in the garden weeding and dead heading between the showers, so while the sun shines I'm in the garden and when the rain sweeps in I'm on Cycle Chat.

That’s the way to do it Bit of work have a break A cuppa Then back out These short lived showers not all bad

Just finished dinner/tea )we are a mixed household when it comes to naming it) after recovering from taking granddaughter back home

Visit to Little Moreton Hall was a success - she was not in a very patient mood but liked the old stuff and the whole experience. She also seems to love the connections to Henry8th and Elizabeth 1 and all that
As SWMBO has a History degree she takes the lead on all that stuff and I look to unusual stuff

Best bit was a "witch's mark". There were quite a few in the house - we saw about 10 but apparently there are about 250. They weer put there to ward of evil spirits and the like.
One was on the ceiling - right in a corner. I couldn;t see it at first but she spotted it first. We tried taking a photo of the area and zooming in to find it - but it just wouldn;t appear on photo - couldn't find it even when we had found it in real life and went back to the photo
Spooky!!

Other things was that the Sat Nav went crazy getting there. Firstly it showed a roundabout at the bottom of our road - that was demolished about 7 years ago - but did know about the approach road t the new Mersey Garetway bridge that was constructed after it went.
It also knew about the bridge - but not the roads leading from it to the M56
Very weird!

Anyway - due to kid stuff I have not yet seen yesterday's TdF so I will do that now!

I watched tennis and cycling and no doubt tomorrow will be more of the same. I’ll need to listen to more biased commentary bumming up Alcaraz I would imagine. However, although he’s not widely popular, I will be rooting for Djokovic. Alcaraz should have years more ahead of him to win whereas Novak is 36.
