Annoyed of East Yorkshire here. Just got my car insurance renewal through, up from £261 to £416!!! Had a no fault accident last November, fully settled by third party, now I'm paying for it. Done a quick comparison search and I can get it down to just over £300. I'm going to get in touch with insurers to see if they'll knock anything off, otherwise it's goodbye. End of rant.

Hello
I'm still catching up with missed cycling races from our holiday - currently on stage 7 of the Tour of Britain than I am out of recordings

Just realised that it is Thursday and I hadn't put the bin out - Recycling today so garden bin as well
Just missed the garden on which doesn;t matter as it is almost empty but the recycling one is full and now out and waiting

raining - so plans for a ride are paused
why does it always rain when I have no plans that can interfer with a ride??
yesterday would have been great but we had Dr appointment first thing then had to go up and grandkid-sit in the afternoon!!!

Oh - and starting to get annoyed with grandkid-sitting
The grandkids are fine - middle one is difficult (Special needs) but we know him so can deal with it

but we keep getting "Oh - can you pick $theircousin up while you are there"
which is OK but it is becoming expected - and he is not used to having to do what he is told - I think he is an OK kid just isn't used to boundaries being enforced
But it is the "OH Mike'll pick him up and look after him for a while - he won;t mind" that is a bit grating!

luckily the oldest grandkid will be leaving that school to go to "Big School" next year so the annoyance has a termination date
but I would not be surprised if I get asked to pick him up after that anyway!

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

It can be a tad annoying when parents expect grandparents to pick kids up or look after them at the drop of a hat. I feel your pain.
