Hello
I'm still catching up with missed cycling races from our holiday - currently on stage 7 of the Tour of Britain than I am out of recordings

Just realised that it is Thursday and I hadn't put the bin out - Recycling today so garden bin as well
Just missed the garden on which doesn;t matter as it is almost empty but the recycling one is full and now out and waiting

raining - so plans for a ride are paused
why does it always rain when I have no plans that can interfer with a ride??
yesterday would have been great but we had Dr appointment first thing then had to go up and grandkid-sit in the afternoon!!!

Oh - and starting to get annoyed with grandkid-sitting
The grandkids are fine - middle one is difficult (Special needs) but we know him so can deal with it

but we keep getting "Oh - can you pick $theircousin up while you are there"
which is OK but it is becoming expected - and he is not used to having to do what he is told - I think he is an OK kid just isn't used to boundaries being enforced
But it is the "OH Mike'll pick him up and look after him for a while - he won;t mind" that is a bit grating!

luckily the oldest grandkid will be leaving that school to go to "Big School" next year so the annoyance has a termination date
but I would not be surprised if I get asked to pick him up after that anyway!

Our GK's are grown up now but, mercifully, they lived hundreds of miles away when small.

Definitely each to their own but I find kids a PITA to have around.

Can never understand why some people are desperate to have GK's.

Just found outthat I have won the amazing total of NAFF ALL on the Premium Bonds this month

My wife has won over £700!!!!!

Which is CLEARLY unfair, unjust and just plain sexist!!

OK OK OK - the fact that she has 5 time the number that I have might be relevant - but it's still not right!

Lucky wife! I must admit I enjoy the anticipation of checking every month hoping for a larger win.

I think I will brave the rain and get out. I can only sit indoors for so long without getting agitated.

Big day today...

... cancelled TV licence, been meaning to for ages.

Last thing we watched on BBC was HM's funeral.

ITV etc, rarely watch anything, as it is mainly dross, and on the v.rare occasion we do it's not watched live.

Entertainment here is principally Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify & Kindle.

The amount of dross and repeats I think we should all cancel it. I have been streaming much more lately too.

In saying that I watched a decent film on Film 4 last night about a group of American elite firefighters who sadly perished in the end. Based on a true story.

I think that the future will see a lot more people shifting away from the BBC and the absurd licence fee.
