It's raining here too. The Solar guys are rained off but the guy doing the bathroom refurb is here tiling. He showed me a few photo's of the Kitchen rebuild he's just completed in Sandbanks. Multimillionaire clients but ars*holes to work for. He said that the induction hob, cooker and fridge they chose are all WiFi linked ( you have to ask why?), and those three items alone cost more than most people would expect to pay for a complete new kitchen! What he'se even more miffed about is that his wife told him to " walk away from this one " when he was quoting for the job.

Getting ready for "The Internet of Things"?

Did he say why they were ars*holes?

Just back from Narborough Hall it’s an old Manor House dating back to the 1700 s Now a craft centre
Bought a few Xmas presents and cards It’s not cheap but not overly expensive and has items under one roof that you would not possibles find elsewhere
Narborough Hall is situated in the village of Narborough Leicestershire.

Called in at Thurlaston Garden centre for a cuppa and a sarne

Have ordered my new bike

He did, basically
There's one piece of information that I omitted from my original comment. I have a quite unusual surname ( when I moved to the area there were just two of us in the phone book, the other person being a Reverend.) I don't know the guy who brought it round, but we have the same surname. The guy from Goods Inward took it to him and asked if it was anything to do with him. Had that not been case than I may well have had a convoluted and lengthy situation to deal with.

just to update this. I had a call from FedEx to suggest that perhaps my package had got mixed in with parcels for the address that had signed ( almost certainly what happened). I explained that the issue was resolved and no further action was needed. 👍
Good to see a company that follows up on any issues reported.

We have had a lovely afternoon on Tenby, walking on the beach , drinking coffee, strolling round the town and harbour and we might even had a glass of wine or two 😀. Even saw a rainbow .

Well, I've been diagnosed with chronic fatty liver.

It seems to be systemic rather than anything I've done as my cholesterol is pretty good and my body fat, according to the docs electronic device, is 17%. She's quite enlightened, said it was pointless relying on BMI for someone who has spent 35 years lifting weights almost daily.

It's pretty bad, but the scan I had Friday shows not too much in the way of actual damage...yet.

Some serious restrictions on my diet and the doc wants me to drop a further two stone (I've already dropped 2 since August on my own efforts) to put me around 16.

No more alcohol, ever. Not as bad as it seems, as while I liked a drink I've not been a able to imbibe for a few months due to the beta blockers and I'm doing alright.

With luck things should not worsen, and may even improve somewhat. If I don't play ball then statistically I could be needing a transplant or be dead in the 5 to 15 year range. I'm currently 55 and want to last a bit longer than 70, so I will be following orders to the letter.

Sorry to hear that  Intermittent fasting is believed to help. Might be worth a try after checking with the doc.
