Not to get above 5 all week here and just below freezing overnight. :cold:

Just been reading about it
Apparently the UK needs to expect snow in the next week and we need to be prepared

further reading reveals that there is a possibility of snow shower in the Scottish Highlands
which is not all that unexpected in winter I would have thought

I honestly think that the newspapers are terrified of Scottish Independence - not for reasons of the Economy or Political stuff - but just because they will loose loads of impending disaster stories every winter and might have to fill up the space with actual news!!

anyway -- high chance that it will be cold
in winter

Does that mean we can expect it to be warm and sunny in summer?

Hi folks :okay: 50mph winds all today so havent been up to much  Have been browsing toe clips on ebay...almost impossible to sort the vintage rusty carp/ dodgy sizing/tat for a decent inexpensive pair.. Some clips are sold as s/m or l/xl.....errr how can a small also be a medium and a large also be a extra large.
Anyhoo think i'll go for the retro look- shiny clips on black/silver pedals...nice! im a dedicated follower of fashion

Mr Smart Meter man who ws due to attend between 13:00-18:00 phoned to say he was running early, and would it be ok to pop round in half an hour, which we were happy to do. A charming young man, smart, polite and excellent workmanship. So we now have a Smart meter, although it's not talking to the mothership yet, apparently it can take a while. I had to leave early as I had a physio appointment in Wimborne, but I could see when he had switched the power back on as I could see all the info on my Solar/ battery / energy monitoring app ☀️

Think they are all owned by go outdoors holding company. There are quite a few Blacks shops local to me too, funny enough.
I reckon they just pick one of the names depending on the size of the store and brand recognition in a area . 😀
In Coventry we just have a very large go outdoors store.

There used to be aBlacks ago store in Leicester Not sure if it’s still there. There is a Go outdoor store in Loughborough.I don’t buy much outdoor walking gear these days since I gave up hill walking. If I want anything for general out door use I tend to go for Regatta products.

Blacks is still on the High Street, opposite the Shires 👍
Go Outdoors L'bro had a refit this year, smartened it up!

Nice 20k early morning wander through the lanes.

Then a lot of faffing with cables for the video camera set up on Vanessa.
Nightmare finding the routing of the cable from the rear of the van is a nightmare.

Good day to all.
Hospital today........I will be in from 3 1/2 to 8 hours .........should be the lower but last time it was a full 8 hours.
It's what is called The Frailty Clinic where, in theory, they analyse your problem and hopefully come up with a solution. TBF they are very thorough and different specialist go through everything from head to toes.
TBH I don't expect anything to come from it (it didn't last time) but I am going ask if I can have home physio visits. If I can get, say, 6 it 'might' make a difference.
I will report back.

Good morning folks. Physio yesterday, then a couple of " click and collect " items to collect from Waitrose in Wimborne. There's a big JL store in Poole, but it's easier to shop online and collect at Waitrose. We now have a new marble soap dish, plus a loo roll dispenser/caddy in stainless steel to go in the refurbished shower room. A few jobs to do today, a couple of bills to pay.
