Hi, I'm in agony with my back taken two lots of paracetamols and still no better, couldn't even go to church this morning due to the pain and me coughing most of the night as well.
I've just made 36 mince pies and standing up all that time has made it worse, I knew it was wrong before I started, but you try these things, should have left it for another day.
As soon as they are cooked I'm going to have a lie down to see if that will ease the pain.

Managed to push my self into going for a ride this afternoon

got out and realised that I had forgotten to check the wind speed - and it was much stronger than I thought

so, instead of going over The Bridge (it is actually signposted with capitals on the road signs!) and then along the canals - I went to the airport

Then when I got home I accidentally stopped Strava and now it won;t recover the recording!!!

Damn!

Anyway - at least it is dry

Book is finished in initial draft form. Spent a few hours this afternoon error checking and doing a rough edit before it goes off to my BiL (MA in English) for his perusal. Then I might waft it under the nose of our very own @DCLane after christmas, like a 310 page fart. Then I'll probably slap it on the Kindle Store for you rascals to buy and then sell the film rights to Scorcese.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Send it through when you're ready @Drago - whilst I'm doing a lot of hospice visits it'll be a useful way to take my mind of what's happening to my mum and the impending funeral we'll almost certainly have in January.

And I do tend to read crime / comedy crime fiction. Currently I'm reading the first of Lynne McEwan's Scottish detective trilogy, having read the second over the summer (it was £1 in The Works) with the final book sat waiting. Come to think of it the other two £1 books from there were Scottish crime stuff as well; cheap, crime, Scottish ... hmm ... is there a link? :okay: And don't worry, if it was Dewsbury crime it'd be in the 'free' section.

Additional thing

Looks like Strava has somehow re-discovered my ride

14 miles apparently - which is about right

so at least it is on there now - no idea how it happened!
