I've just made a 36v ebike battery discharger it's really high tech
3 x 12v 21w bulbs wired in series......and it works just fine, just got to get the battery down to 50% for the winter

Are they all still in the same number of pieces as when they arrived though?
No extra parts lying around doing nothing.

the 3 year old's dinosaur transporter is fine -
the 11 year old's jewellery making set was composed of about 17 million pieces which were brilliantly designed to need to move to the special drawers and ping off in all directions at time - vacuum will be needed later

the 7 year old (SEN) one has a "build a mars outpost" set which is a bit too much for him - so not broken of or anything - but stored carefully (i.e. chucked in) so is hidden until he is older maybe

so no bits lost and most rubbish cleared up

I'm sure we will find this is wrong after they have left

I'm not going to try that with mine - it is a Bosch and if I try it the system will probably decided I am an evil genuius intent of destroying civilisation and brick the system

That's not too bad. Normal for presents these days.
However, I was thinking more about the kids being in one piece each. No parts lying around, from opening their presents.

To do my 11ah battery down to 50% took 2.5 hours which is not too far off a normal hilly ride and seeing I can't go out at the moment the discharger did it's job.

It is important to remember to check it several times over the winter - or whatever period you leave it for

I got our folder's battery down to 60-70% a few winters ago and just left it by mistake - when I tried to recharge it it was dead

as we don;t use it much I have not thought it worthwhile spending more money on it so the folder is now just sitting in the shed - one day I will swap out the rear wheel for a non-motor one - I hope!

Evening folks Can the weather get any worse [probably] its raining, cold n windy. I wonder how the wildlife survives its that severe...Anyhow just when i want to hop on the trainer i get computer drive/bluetooth problems ****er! I really dont understand modern tech but my neighbour does! The guy is quite an oddball.....he's insufferable in that he wont shut the hell up..its like he's on speed but he's tremendously generous and has amazingly good humour considering he's in constant pain from disabling hip/leg problems. I'll let him have at it he's the type who could build a space rocket in his shed if he puts his mind [and a hammer] to it.

Get him to build you a small one, with a mount for a rear rack. You can then get a few KOM's on strava. As far as I'm aware there's no seperate category for rocket powered bikes. E-assist, but not rocket assist.

We're off to our sons place this afternoon our daughter is also going to be there.

Good morning, blowy and wet at the moment. Daughter and grandson are heading back to Leeds shortly, the weather seems better up there so they will be driving into better conditions. Once they've set off we will do the bedding and fold up the folding bed converting the back bedroom into an office again.
Hopefully I will be able to find where I stashed the various Bromptons, 🤔
