Morning. Well 2024 has started like 2023 finished. Cold and sparkly. I’ll get out for a careful wander while it’s quiet as no doubt there will be lots of walkers out later getting some fresh air after their revelries.

Good morning and happy New Year to my fellow retirees. Today is our local 1/4 Marathon which I will be watching. We had planned to take part but being out of action for nigh on a month put paid to that idea.
Once Mrs Tkk has finished her dissertation " D Day " is on the 11th then we will start planning a holiday, and whatever home improvements seem sensible to make.

Morning all

Happy New Year to all our members.
Must say, that was the quietest NYE I've ever had.
Went to bed around 11pm, as usual, and never heard a peep.
No partys, carousing, loud music or fireworks for the first time since we lived on a farm in the middle of rural Worcestershire in 1983.
Total silence. Bliss.

Off out for a walk this morning.

We're going to see our daughter this afternoon, just for a cup of tea.
More rain forecast for later on, so nothing really changes except the date.

DISASTER HAS STRUCK !!!!
I have just noticed that one of my balls has fallen off during the night AND it's the big shiny one .
Just gone into the lounge and one of the balls has fallen off my Christmas tree.
Due to my granddaughter showing me how I have been able to re attach it. Phew.

You had me worried for a minute.

I am with you there. All my clothes (and Sues) got hung up for any creases to fall out.
