11degrees and rain here. Our Tuesday walking group today, first of the year. We're not expecting many as the trail will be heavily puddled and we definitely won't be taking the route through the woods.
We watched the 1/4 marathon yesterday, perfect weather, no wind or rain and mild for the time of year.

Good day to all.
A good sleep was had. In bed 2230ish, woke for a pee at 0600, decided to try sleep again and next thi g it was 0815.......so a success.
I was planning a short stroll as my legs are feeling a bit better but the weather may say otherwise.
I like a good laugh 1st thing and reading Dirk saying "MIGHT stop off for a spot of lunch" has given me that ^_^

It's depressing, but I keep telling myself it's better than snow. I am trying to be more positive this year. I'm normally very much a glass half empty person.

I'm more of a glass half full nature. I know it is windy and raining today, but it is temporary, and sometimes invigorating to be battling through it for a short period. My morning mantra on waking is " Today I choose to be cheerful ". Sometimes that's quite the challenge, but life is full of surprises.

Weather has taken a bad turn here and its steady rain. Forecast now says heavy rain all day.
Think I will give my stroll a miss.....those days of getting togged up to walk in the rain have well gone.
Just realised, I took some chicken out of the freezer 2 days ago so I must cook it. Some can go in a stir fry and I will do a curry with the rest (from a jar).

My cheerfulness hasn't lasted long. Just logged into my Ovo account and they have once again produced shambolic figures that make no sense. I am now over £5,000 in debt according to them, whereas I should still be in credit. Nearly every bill is wrong plus the faulty meter change resulted in absolutely silly figures being produced. I was keeping on top of their mistakes for a while, but even I am getting bamboozled by it all now. I despair of ever getting it sorted. My only hope is the Ombudsman will have more joy than I seem to be having.
