Morning all.
After a good day with the family yesterday I woke with a well earned headache this morning.
After months on my own I was in 2 minds about family plus grandsons girlfriend PLUS 2 dogs taking over but it was very enjoyable.
I ate well and started today with 2 fried eggs on toast......long time since I have done that.

Re cleaning airfriers.
For me it depends what I have cooked. I often use it for a meal of 'munchies' eg spring rolls, samosas etc so a quick wipe does the trick.
Sausages or bacon is on foil which catches any fat. Roast potatoes, again leaves little residue.
I wash all glasses etc in the bowl so it's no trouble to wash the airfryer trays at the same time.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Exactly - the first one we had had to be chucked out because fat gathered around the element and that area could not be cleaned (I did try) - plus the element was not removable and my wife is very sensitive to - and hates - the smell of old fat
One of the things I like out our new Ninja is that I can reach behind the element - might even be able to take it off but a YouTube video from some old couple (!) showed them using a cigarette lighter to bend an old toothbrush to get in even better

I think on some of them you can open the top above the element to clean it. I'm not sure about that though so don't take my word for it.

We had that chilling grey mist earlier in the day, it's still grey and damp. I notice that recently the facings on our low brick wall have been blowing off, having said that the wall is about 70 years old so has done well. Not sure what to do about it, I imagine a new wall would be expensive, so I'll have a ponder and a wander around to see what others have done.

Rain has stopped here.
May skip lunch after breckie of double egg on toast.

I once had half a dozen eggs from the small grocer up the road who is supplied by a couple of local farms. All six of them tuned out to be double yokers, I can still remember the tension building as I progressed through the box, would this be another double yoker or not, and then experiencing a feeling of completeness as I cracked open that final egg...

Not something I’ve ever thought about before, but what happens if a double yoker is fertilised and hatches?

I googled it, they do sometimes produce 2 chicks but not always.

Racing this morning and about halfway just after I hit the aquaduct KOM the turbo decided it wasn't happy with my previous fan fix and with a strange smell lost all resistance 🤬🤬🤬 Tried cutting away at the case to improve airflow but it is still overheating when there is any sustained effort at higher watts. Can't really justify a replacement (it still works for a moderate work out) so looks like my racing days, in the higher reaches of cat C at least, are over 😥

Are both fans drawing air out, or is there one pushing it in, and one pulling it through?

Evening folks :okay: Managed a 50 miler today, no ice but really started to feel the chill on the return and was loosing feeling in my feet  Saw a red kite fly over the sea at golspie and there were lots of eiders just off shore. On my steepest hill [the SOB****ard hill] an old guy winds his window down and congratulates me for riding up it, i said thanks for stopping as it gave me an excuse for a breather!

Funny that - took the grand kids for a walk this afternoon and noticed that it was still very windy
I was actually thinking it would have been a great day for a race when I was sailing because our (well - his) boat was old and heavy - but so were we, with the result that we always did far better in strong winds because we had more weight to stick outboard
and we were probably more willing to risk the rigging that some of the others in brand new boats with fancy expensive sails!!!

that was a log time ago unfortunately!

It’s one’s of things sailors say isn’t it ‘ every boat has its day ‘ 😀

The trouble my boat wants a course with long legs and more than 10 mph winds and I didn’t get either, on the the other both things did suit mrs exlaser and her boat and she won the race easily .

Tbh my day hasn’t been any better today . We went down sailing to pick up some club boats that are going away to be repaired . Literally as soon as we got there a engine warning comes on saying go straight to a dealer.
So the state of play is , the boats are still at the club waiting to be repaired , the car is still at the dealer waiting to go on the diagnostic m/c and be repaired ( I think it’s probably a add blue sensor/tank fault ) and we had to get home to Coventry from Leamington by train and bus.
