Good morning all.
An early dog walk this morning, and then we are off to the Royal Veterinary College with Millie. The referral is for her ongoing problem. Fortunately she is insured so we will get most of the money back.

Morning all :hello:

Another Tapo camera to install today.
My very kind, younger neighbour has volunteered to do the ladder work for me, as I no longer intend to do high work. It's only a 15 minute job, but I'll see him right for it.
Got to get out the back later and lop off a couple of branches that are overhanging my veggie plot and pond.

Mr WD is sulking because he had to get out of bed before 9.30 at the earliest.

I only stayed in bed that late if I was ill. Good on him if he enjoys it, I just could never do it. Maybe too many years of having to get up early ?

Bad start to the day. The bedroom fitter arrived at 0830 complete with fully assembled "book case".
My 1st comment was "are those shelves big enough for standard hard back books"?..........he admitted he had no idea so I tried one of my library books. No chance.
I said "sorry, but it is a book case" and had to reject it.
Shelves are built in so it will mean a new book case.
I will send him the dimensions I need.

Good thinking.
Like many I did all my own ladder work eg clearing or painting gutters. The day came when I thought.... no thank you, I will pay somebody else.

Nah, can't beat holding/reading a real book.
I'm sure there is a place for kindles but not for me (yet)

That’s what everyone says….until they use one 😉
Have one pal who always laughed at me when I suggested it. She is a voracious reader. Now you couldn’t pry her kindle from her! You soon realise it is the reading & stories you enjoy, not the holding the book and turning pages (& yes, I remember her telling me it was the “feel of the book” she loved!) 🤷‍♂️
That said, people keep buying me physical books. We need a cull!

I love mine. Splurged on the Kindle Scribe several months ago for the bigger screen.
