Time for a moan.
Something that has always annoyed me is people who park in 'invalid' spots when they are not entitled to.
I have just been to the Spar. It has a long car park with just 2 disabled places. Both were taken by cars not showing a blue badge. Fortunately a nearby spot was empty, otherwise I would have to walk maybe 50 yards........some days (like yesterday) I would struggle to do that.
I looked for the drivers, to have a word with them but they were not to be seen.
Selfish? Unthoughtful ? Either way it's bloody annoying.

Is there an actual stipulation that it is only for blue badge users? Some people could be struggling physically but not got to the stage of applying for a blue badge yet. Not saying it's right or wrong......just curious.

It could be shortened to just Mason though. Who have lodges up and down the country for meeting purposes. 😉

Yes......if it has the clear marking, which they do then they are only for BB holders.
If its on a public road you get a hefty fine. Same in a council car park. Some stores eg shopping malls do police the car park.
I imagine that smaller shop car parks just rely on people's good sense.
As an eg. When Sue had a blue badge, if we parked in a blue badge spot EVEN right outside the shop, I was not allowed to leave her in the car while I 'nipped' into the shop. It was an immediate £1000 fine if caught.

On that point, it took me 2 years to get my blue badge and I just had to struggle.

Some of the people at the stone quarry in the Purbecks ( where I did maintenance on the big stone cutting machines from time to time ) were still working on a job that was started in 1936 ( Portsmouth Cathedral iirc )
