Just had an Email from the Great North Run to tell me that unfortunately I have not been allocated a place. Mys Tkk has just had an Email to say that she has been allocated a place. Of couse with it being such a popular event the accomodation prices are very high.

Good morning,
Woke early so went into the spare bedroom for a read. Black bin and walking group this morning followed by a trip to JL to look at microwaves as ours finally died yesterday. We will look at mini ovens /aiirfryers too while we're there.

After yesterday's lovely weather, today is going to be grey, cloudy with more heavy rain forecast for the next few days.
As it's shrove Tuesday, pancakes for breakfast today. some plain with lemon juice and a dusting of sugar, others with cream maple syrup, blueberries and sliced bananas.

Twas cold here earlier on.....and dark.
I need an Aldi trip for basics ie I like their seeded bread and it lasts well.
I am going to experiment with 0915 as against my normal 0800 and see what it's like.

Morning all

Laid my slabs yesterday and made a walkway around MrsD's flower garden.
Expecting a dumpy bag of flint chippings this morning to fill an area near my garden shed. The grass there never really takes and it's pretty bare. Dug it over yesterday and put the weed mat over it in preparation for the chippings.
Hedgehogs were very busy last night - in and out of the feeding station for a few hours.

In my experience the main thing to look for in an air fryer is cleaning
Can you reach and clean ALL the areas that vaporised fat will go

The main area I have had problems with it up around the element and where the air goes once it has passed the food
We got a Ninja recently and it is the first one that I have been able to clean reasonably well
(you should see the state of the daughter-in-law's one - minging and then some!!!)

Well my Aldi 0915 trip was good.....hardly anyone in. Could I have found my new Time slot. I hope so as, at the moment I find getting there for 0800 a struggle (that may change with lighter/warmer mornings.
