In my experience the main thing to look for in an air fryer is cleaning
Can you reach and clean ALL the areas that vaporised fat will go

The main area I have had problems with it up around the element and where the air goes once it has passed the food
We got a Ninja recently and it is the first one that I have been able to clean reasonably well
(you should see the state of the daughter-in-law's one - minging and then some!!!)

anyway - good luck

I have the Ninja.
If I cook anything 'fatty' ie sausage or bacon I put some foil underneath. Saves any mess.
I find that things like chips only require a wipe down.
If the trays start to look iffy I soak them in a bowl of soapy water (maybe after washing the glasses).

Yes - that works - I have tried it with some things

But the main problem I have found it above the food and around the element
The first one we had had the element well above the container and the element was close to the ceiling
so there was no way of cleaning it - eventually I ended up having to use it in the garden because my wife was complaining about the smell of old fat in the house
although to be fair she is especially awkward sensitive to that smell

The rain has arrived earlier than forecast.
I've just had a message from my doctor's surgery about my blood pressure readings submitted last week.
They are a bit high, but the doctor wants to see me this afternoon. The last time I saw him he mentioned possibly going on meds for a while. My time may of come.
The system can work sometimes.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have returned from shopping. I didn't make a pit stop at my daughters today as they have resurfacing works going on eigjt outside her house and have a convoy system in place so parking would be really awkward.

Food prices seem to be going up and up as well.

Abs the garage phoned my first thing this morning. The person who usually picks my car up is on holiday this week, so we have changed the day for its MOT and service from tomorrow to Monday.

I can hear ab odd noise as well. It might be the gearbox. I hope not. I hope I'm wrong.

Morning all :hello:

Off to Tesco in Minehead first thing, then back to Watchet for lunch in the Bell.
Major job today is to shift a dumpy bag full of stone chippings from the front of my drive to the back garden.
I made a start on it yesterday......

Good morning, a drizzly morning, daughter and granddaughter got back from Amsterdam yesterday and I can't wait to hear of granddaughter's adventures. They went to Amsterdam by train from Bournemouth on Friday, Bournemouth to Waterloo then across to St Pancras to get the direct train to Amsterdam. They left home at 7am and were in Amsterdam at 4 pm. Mrs Tkk are thinking about taking our brommies over for a bit of an explore 🚲🚲

Morning. I headed out at 6.40 for my morning walk as I knew the rain was due and thought I might make it back in time, but it came on a mile from home so I got a bit damp.

Today's excitement is the green bin goes out. If we get the forecasted persistent rain, no doubt the Wattbike or treadmill will get some use at some point.

Good morning all.
It's raining again :rain: so another soggy dog walk will be had.
I'm waiting for my message from the pharmacy I use to say my meds are ready for collect. The Doctor has put me on a months worth of blood pressure pills, I don't know which ones he has prescribed. I have to lose a bit of weight and cut down on the ale. All the usual things. Although I'm not really that much overweight 93kg, apparently I'm still classified as obese, I'm 5' 11 tall. Ideally he wants a 10% reduction in my weight, he wants to see me again in a month.
So I'll cycle to the local pharmacy and add a few miles to it, and while MrsP is watching Coronation street I'll be on the turbo in the kitchen for an hour.
This could mean I will need a new suit for my daughters wedding, as my best one will be too big.

I don't seem to be making any progress with weight loss. It just doesn't seem to want to shift now. I used to be able to drop weight reasonably easily when I was younger. I might have to try intermittent fasting again I think
