Good morning, a drizzly morning, daughter and granddaughter got back from Amsterdam yesterday and I can't wait to hear of granddaughter's adventures. They went to Amsterdam by train from Bournemouth on Friday, Bournemouth to Waterloo then across to St Pancras to get the direct train to Amsterdam. They left home at 7am and were in Amsterdam at 4 pm. Mrs Tkk are thinking about taking our brommies over for a bit of an explore 🚲🚲

That sounds an excellent plan.

Morning. I headed out at 6.40 for my morning walk as I knew the rain was due and thought I might make it back in time, but it came on a mile from home so I got a bit damp.

Today's excitement is the green bin goes out. If we get the forecasted persistent rain, no doubt the Wattbike or treadmill will get some use at some point.

Is your green bin for garden waste as ours is (a logical colour choice). Ours doesn't start till April AND costs us 40 quid per year.

I don't seem to be making any progress with weight loss. It just doesn't seem to want to shift now. I used to be able to drop weight reasonably easily when I was younger. I might have to try intermittent fasting again I think

Is it possible that your exercise is convering fat to muscle........?
If it is then as muscle is heavier than fat so weight doesn't indicate any problem.

Morning all.
Very mild this morning. Rain due later but only for a few hours.
A quiet day with just one visitor expected. The people doing my kitchen refit have sent me plans with dimensions and (if I correct) they don't add up and would be 200mm longer than the actual space. I hope I am wrong but I fear not.
Anyway, they are coming out to double check.

You need to post some photos of your flabby bits......then, as normal, us old farts can give our (useless) advice.
For some of us it would help to pass some time ^_^

Here you go.

It does! We have taken our Brommies from Poole to Glasgow by train, and that went really smoothly, even cycling between railway stations in London was a breeze and far more enjoyable than we'd expected. We hadn't realised that we could be in Amsterdam in a similar time via Eurostar.

One of our friends works at JP Morgan Chase, she used to travel to India to train people there and was usually accompanied by a few colleagues. She told me that one of her collegues used to look forward to her visits as she invariably lost weight in the fortnight she was there as she invariably got " Delhi Belly " 😮

No our green is general waste. Garden one is brown so I'll need to stump up £40 too. I really grudge it for all I ever put in it.
Our green bin(garden waste), would be a green bag, and were £75 for 10 months last year.
Won't pay for a years use, that is only 10 months in practice.

I had similar experience on a “work assignment” in Russia and Ukraine, in the 1990’s. Not “Delhi belly”, but, food was difficult to come by,and, poor quality, I lost half a stone in weight.
