Car got through the MOT but needed all four tyres replacing and the front brake pads. Including a minor service the total bill was a couple of quid short of £750.
We've had the car since 2017 when it was just six months old and so far apart from the yearly service is hasn't cost us anything in repairs. The tyres and brake pads were the originals.

What make and model is your car?

Barnet,
Morning all, MrsP is off to the Orchid house at Kew Gardens with a group of ladies, so it's just me and the dog for most of the day.
It's a cloudy start outside, the rain has stopped and is forecast to get better later on, so a good day for walking the mutt.
I'll be out on the bike later on for a while to keep the legs ticking over.

Morning all :hello:

Got to shift the rest of my dumpy bag full of chippings this morning, before the rain sets in.
Rooks are kicking off in the field opposite and the seagulls are squawking like mad - it's like a Hitchcock film out there!
Brothers in law have decided to come and stay for a weekend in March. Deep joy. 48 hours of being bored to death.

It's a Ford Fiesta EcoBoost. It's a 997cc, 3 cylinder engine with a small turbo on it.
It's a great little car, it's an automatic, and will cruise along at 70mph on motorways or main roads at 2200 rpm at 60 mpg .
That's the one with the 'wet belt' oil pump drive system, isn't it?
Terrible design.
Ford has issued a major recall on them.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
It's hard work not doing anything. You've to be careful and not get distracted and end up doing something!

So much for the rain going off. It's come back on.

I've had my bran flakes and just sat back down with a big mug of decaf coffee.

Don't worry. I make sure I keep it in check. Reminds me of some of my colleagues at the insurance company I worked for. They spent so much time trying not to do anything that it would have been less exhausting just to do the dam job.

I have done some washing, well I threw it into the machine and I'm about to clean the dishes. Bloody tiring it is as well.
