Deep breath...

MG ZS EV Trophy Long Range.

Possibly the longest car name ever. Mrs D's new daily, and she's very happy with it. I liked the 4 and the reviews are stellar, but it was a wee bit small for a Labrador and a driver or paseenger of my  girth height and build. It would have been doable, but as the slightly larger ZS was available for the same monthly rental it would have been rude not to.

OK Thanks.

I recently toyed with the idea of buying an EV, so, spent a bit of time researching the options.

The MG4 looked a reasonable option, but, in the end, I decided to buy a hybrid (Toyota).

We own the Mini electric but lease the MG. I'm not a fan of leasing, bit it's some civil service lease deal Mrs D qualifies for, makes Motability seem expensive.

£199 a month over three years for everything is a steal - I wasn't sure how they made any mo ey, but I copped an eyeful of the paperwork when she collected it. They retail at 37 large in that spec, but they must be buying in massive bulk because the lease firm only paid 24 large for it. It also meant it was in stock, sat on their disused airfield somewhere, and it took onky 8 days between order and delivery instead of 4 to 6 months to buy.

For daily use we'd never go back to ICE or even hybrid (been there back in the 00s and then again in 2020 plug in) but still have the C70 as a summer toy.

So - I have been on the iron and folic acid tablets for over 6 months now and I got a blood test yesterday

Results came back this afternoon
after all those tablets my iron is still low and so if the B12
not sure how that can be but there are notes saying I need to ring the doctor - we have the grand-kids over night tonight and all day tomorrow so I will have to ring tomorrow and try to arrange an appointment for next week

bit worried about why as opposed to what - could just be old age I suppose
or something else

still no point is worriting - I'll sort it out next week

Are you taking Vit C with the iron? My understanding is that the body will not absorb iron without vitamin C.

Wasn;t mentioned by the doc

but he did tell me to take the iron tablets WITH my evening meal and seemed rather annoyed that the previous GP had said to take it in the morning
I will as when I speak to them next week - thanks for the advise

Don't be too worried with what happened. There's often further tests when one comes back with an abnormality. Especially if they feel that wrong information was given on taking prescribed medication.

It's a Ford Fiesta EcoBoost. It's a 997cc, 3 cylinder engine with a small turbo on it.
It's a great little car, it's an automatic, and will cruise along at 70mph on motorways or main roads at 2200 rpm at 60 mpg .

Good car and a great engine unfortunately the engine is known with the trade as the ‘ Ecobang ‘ often with as little as 50, 000 miles on the clock . 😕
I was seriously planning to change my 2018 Peugeot 308 for a Ford Puma next year but after doing some research I am having second thoughts .
