A slow parkrun this morning followed by a coffee in the tea rooms. Saw three Egrets as we were heading to the start.

What do you consider slow these days? I have slowed down massively now. If I wake early tomorrow morning I quite fancy getting out for a few miles while it’s quiet.

Last week saw me run 41 minutes, this week about 30 seconds faster. I need to shed several kg which will certainly help. I'm thinking of doing the GNW 10k on the eve of the GNR proper which Mrs Tkk is running. I still enjoy parkrun whatever the pace and I've noticed that when you're at the back of the field the marshals keep telling you how well you're doing 😁

Right - pretty much recovered from having the kids overnight and most of yesterday

Seems like we forgot to pack the kids toothbrushes

Which is OK because there is a family "do" tonight and they will be there

"Do" is for my wife's sister and should be good - ish
We are taking a Taxi because there is no way I am spending the whole evening with the whole family without the support of alcohol!

plus the sister-in-law's husband's family will be there
there are kinda split in 2 - one half nice - but loud
the other half - hmmm

and the brother-in-law himself is nice - but the thickest person I have ever met
and gullible so he comes out with all sorts of stuff he heard from some bloke - normally in his taxi
and if the bloke was a "nice bloke that" - i.e. working class and very sure of their opinion - then he won;t be dissuaded
I reckon he probably believes the Earth is flat because some bloke told him and he was a "good bloke that"
as the 2 sisters like to talk and catch up - I get left talking to the brother-in-law until my wife realises and rescues me!!!

anyway - I am hoping the pub serves real ale!!!

Two pints won't put you put you over the limit.
Or are you planning on two pints of something stronger?

Barnet,
Good evening all.
Chinese takeaway has been consumed, and there is some leftover for another day.
Spurs played badly and couldn't beat Wolves, who broke away to score their winner.
The rain has turned up, and is due to stay for the next couple of days.
Saturday night telly is complete tosh, so I'm going to take the dog out in the rain for a walk.
