Hope it doesn;t go that far
I suspect I will either need some B12 - or stop take the Omaprozol - or something
my diet is OK - I am one of the few people I know who actually get or exceed the "5-a-day" thingy!

anyway - see what happens on Wednesday!

anyway - thanks for cheering me up!!!!
^_^

It's ok.....he didn't die of that.

Make sure you don't take your iron too close to drinking tea or coffee as I think they inhibit the uptake. Glass of orange juice is the best for some vitamin c with it.

In keeping with the cheering you up theme, when did you last see any advert for "One of your five a day"? It, five-a-day, is now considered bad for your health.

Morning all
SHould have gone for a ride yesterday - got the grass cut and was totally knackered

was going to go on the bike to get some stuff from the Pharmacy but couldn;t even do that
I presume it is due to the ongoing iron problems - telephone appointment on Wednesday about it - don;t expect anything much except more pills
would be nice (?) to know why this has happened and why iron tablets for a year doesn;t fix it!

anyway - rainy today so no bike
climbing with the grand daughter tomorrow - well she climb I just wander around offering encouragement and making suggestions

now - where was that porrige - or should it be Cornflakes today??

I am on daily iron tablets. TBH they don't seem to do much.

It does change a lot over time
When I was a teacher - of ICT - I had a few lessons left over when they did the timetable and some years I ended up doing Food Technology
(i.e. Cooking)
but in a computer room!
so I did the "Healthy Eating bits of the National Curriculum
that was around 2008-2012 ish
When I recently did a course for people tested as Pre-diabetic we did a lot of healthy eating stuff and apparently a lot of what I told the kids is now classed as positively harmful!!!
I also found out some years ago that 5-a-day was just this country - in some Eastern countries they push something like 10-a-day but that was considered just impossible in the UK - and most of Europe!

weird!

Ahhh ... the unbounded joys of being retired, so's one can fully enjoy the early morning stimulating benefits of wind blown icy rain in order to collect a Fleabay 'collect only' item*.
Whilst only a 7ml round trip for me, the meet point was about a quarter of the seller's 235ml journey. Fortunately their pre-arranged route just happened to bring them within spitting distance of me.
Extra bonus was - belatedly - collecting an Xmas pressie from a local en route - a box of McVitie's Victoria selection biccies - which, together with a coffee - are certainly helping the re-acclimatisation process.

*A set of Bayko - which I'm sure others here will remember?
