Wash your mouth out. How dare you suggest I throw my beloved bloomers out..

Thanks the Gods for that
I was starting to think this Global Warming thing was more serious that I thought!!!

Just realised it's mummys day today, in 12 days time she would have been a 100 years old

Mine would have been 90 this year. Sadly, she died the day before her 63rd birthday and didn’t even get a retirement after having a hard life. I still feel cheated for her. She lost both her own parents when she was only in her twenties, had a difficult and volatile marriage eventually ending in divorce and worked hard all her days. She deserved better

Good morning all.
It's misty out there.
I can hear the first of the bin lorries coming down the road, this will be the recycling, blue bin one. The general rubbish one will be along in a couple of hours.
The cats have rushed out happy to be free for a few hours. They weren't too happy with all the rain yesterday.
Time for the first cup of tea. :cuppa:

Morning all :hello:

Damn! Forgot to put our green bin out and the recyclers have been already. It's only half full of garden waste, so I suppose it will wait for another couple of weeks. Failing that, it'll be a trip down the tip.
Off to Taunton for a bit of shopping this morning. MrsD's driving. Now she's got her confidence back in her car, there's no stopping her. She's here, there and everywhere. I haven't driven for a couple of weeks.

Morning. Still overcast and cold here but the wind has eased a bit.

Went up the hill walk this morning so 5.7 miles done.

Just finished my porridge. Aldi's Golden Syrup instant stuff. Much cheaper than Quaker from the Co-op. Just 99p a box compared to £2.50. Likewise a 750g box of bran flakes was just 99p as well I think compared to at least a couple of quid. I am going to have to desert the Co-op for Aldi I think. It's only ten minutes further to walk. I don't mind a couple of pence on an item but not a couple of pounds.

Sounds nice
But I don't see the point in "instant" porridge - I just lob some in a bowl and stick it in the microwave for 3 minutes
can;t see the point in paying extra for porridge that takes 1 minute less

maybe just me?

anyway - I'm up and awake - ish
Dentist today - I have a check up on the NHS (sort of - why do I have to pay for nhs anyway?? - but lets not get all NACA)
but my wife has had to go private as she has moved house an also not been for over 10 years (phobia)

then theatre tonight - some sort of concert thingy - probably with dinner before
will be interesting because it is in the new Shakespeare theatre in Prescot - where my wife grew up and lived until she moved here a few years ago

Oh - and i have
