Porridge is horrible, the foul taking sputum of Lucifer. And I say that as a Scotsman!

I have porridge with prunes for breakfast most mornings...

Sounds nice
But I don't see the point in "instant" porridge - I just lob some in a bowl and stick it in the microwave for 3 minutes
can;t see the point in paying extra for porridge that takes 1 minute less

maybe just me?

anyway - I'm up and awake - ish
Dentist today - I have a check up on the NHS (sort of - why do I have to pay for nhs anyway?? - but lets not get all NACA)
but my wife has had to go private as she has moved house an also not been for over 10 years (phobia)

then theatre tonight - some sort of concert thingy - probably with dinner before
will be interesting because it is in the new Shakespeare theatre in Prescot - where my wife grew up and lived until she moved here a few years ago

Oh - and i have
Must read things twice, I thought it said Shakespeare with Prescott, the thought of John Prescott performing Hamlet brought me out in a cold sweat.

T,be, or not t'be, that is t'question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or just go and punch the bugger.

Just had an email from LNER with a voucher for a free Greggs breakfast deal consisting of a breakfast roll and cup of coffee, takeaway only. I've never visited a Greggs, there's a few around but the one they opened locally closed after a few months ( there are a couple of independent bakers plus a few café / coffee shops that are thriving, so perhaps the competition was too much ) Might be tempted if see one in passing.

I am surprised you didn't seize the opportunity when you were visiting Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Greggs are everywhere in this area. ;)
