I had a Jay in the garden earlier. They used to be a regular visitor but not now.

We have a load of trees just over the back fence - but not much in terms fo birds for some reason
loads of pigeons and magpies
occaisionally we notice small birds in the summer - there was a wren that used to visit but was difficult to spot
and a robin normally buzzes around but I have not seen him/her for ages

Did have a sparrowhawk kill a pigeon in the garden last year!!!

We always have at least one Robin.
The Wren is a regular visitor.
Birds we used to get regularly but sadly no longer.......
Greenfinch
Siskin
Woodpecker
Nuthatch
Tree Creeper (occasional)
Goldfinch
So many that have disappeared from here.

Just had an email from E-on they are going to lower my gas/elec down from £70 to £48 to use up my credit, so for the next five months it will be cheaper , but most properly they will clobber me with £80+ a month later

£22 whole pounds per month to spend, spend, spend! Please, do go steady, we don't want you causing a blip in the economy ;)

When you are as poor as me every little bit helps, if fact I'll put the £22 away each month for when it goes up again

You could just get in touch with them and ask to keep it the same and build up some credit before next winter. It’s less of a worry then if we get a cold snap and want to turn the heating up.

Today's walk omitted the woods and was just an out and back along the trailway. Spotted this bracket fungi on a fallen branch.
