Yup - raining and blowing a gales

Kids staying over tonight again so the parents can work overtime to pay for the wedding

I have not yet raised the concept that with all the extra baby sitting we are doing then we don;t need to buy them (i.e. her only son) a wedding present!

Anyone think I will get away with it??

Me thinks that "children" nowadays expect that from parents.
Go back just one generation and we didn't. I knew my parents were poor so I don't recall ever expecting much.

I got fed up waiting for the rain to go off so hopped on the Wattbike for 15 miles. Hoping the afternoon is drier for a walk.

I have returned. The roads were treacherous on they way to Newtown but they had dried up a bit on the way back.

Been out for a walk, a wet 7 mile circuit of the Water of Leith and the canal. Saw my second kingfisher in as many days, possibly the same one as yesterday, in the same spot.

The caravan site at Blue Anchor (just down the road) has taken a hit.
