Glad to see another of your local photo’s Mo, I’ve been missing them.

I hardly ever bother taking the phone with me, but knew the oilseed rape was in bloom so stuck it in my pocket to get a pic.

Anyone seen the advert on TV for 'Elder', the firm that provides live-in carers to (presumably) very wealthy families with and old person that needs looking after?

Kids were here overnight

Boys have now gone home and the eldest is coming climbing with us

Youngest had a few raspberries before his porridge - when he had finished he looked like a feral child who had chased down a deer and killed it with his teeth.

Just having a quick cuppa then heading out for a longer walk. I like my Sunday mornings when most peeps are still in bed.

Some seem to be taking this "early to bed" bit a wee bit too seriously.
Carries on like this and they'll be getting up before they've gone to bed before long.

These days with all the oiks that are around, they are more likely to rob you blind.

It’s around £4,000 per month anyway. Apart from not being in your own surroundings, be as well in a decent care home.

Was musing, the other day, about finances.
It's odd that I'm far better off now than I've ever been in my life, despite being retired for 10 years.
We manage to combine a reasonable standard of living without worrying about money. In fact, we are currently saving a fair bit.
How did that happen?!

How did that happen (in retirement)?

Lifestyle often shifts down a gear or two.

You have everything you materially NEED and don't succumb to buying everything you simply WANT plus you no longer make follow the herd purchases.

Major outgoings eg mortgages, kids etc long gone.

If you have been a good saver/investor or simply lucky enough to have inherited a good stash, then passive income can be significant.
