Good morning, volunteering at Upton House parkrun this morning. Loads of Hedgehog action during the night, I left a load of barley straw near the entrance to the hedgehog house and watched it being taken in by the hedgehog before she set off on her rounds. My friend is visiting the hedgehog lady in Blandford today and will be asking about suitable hog accommodation if @Dave7 is still interested.

Good morning. I was going to say it looks like a decent day ahead. I've now looked at the forecast. 🌨🌨🌨 by 11.00. Mrs P is going to the local flower show this afternoon.
A friend unexpectedly popped in for coffee yesterday........and stayed for three hours. Many things didn't get done.
I did finish the bike and PI claims. I'm nervous about the bike claim on our home insurance. Pretty sure I'm OK but won't rest easy till it's paid. The insurers state they will be in touch within two hours of receiving a claim. This means I should get a call before 11.00. The concern is my claim is for accidental damage, that damage caused by a third party. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Anyway. A rubbish forecast so I must get up and head to the allotment before the rain comes. Veggie shopping and ironing will have to wait.

Good morning all.
We are going back to the Vets. this morning. Millie had blood taken last week to check that she is still getting better, and somewhere between the practice and the laboratory they have been lost. So repeat bloods today, and if they think about charging me again there will be a row. The practice has also mixed up the insurance claims for Millie, and one of the cats, Daisy. Different insurance companies, but they have put the cat on the dogs, and vice a versa.🤦♂️
The practice was privately owned, but a couple of years back it was bought out by one of the big corporate companies, IVC, and the service has plummeted and the costs have gone through the roof.
On other news,
Our daughter and Son in law coming around this afternoon, I'm getting the BBQ fried up as the weather looks good today.

Ours is the same, as is most practices now. We are £58 just for a consult. I’m taking Molly to have her teeth checked on Tuesday as Siamese are more prone to dental problems. She had a clean and scale and 3 extractions two years ago which was five hundred odds. Hoping they say she is ok just now, or maybe just a clean and scale, which will still be nearly £300 I would imagine. Good job she’s worth it. 🐱

Email from the insurers stating "pleased to confirm this is something we can potentially cover." The claim is now referred to a company called Bevalued who are specialists in small claims management. They will collect my excess, discuss settlement and make any payments agreed.
The email was clearly from a real person as it made reference to remarks in my claim. Either that or the AI is terrifying!!! Happy with this.
My insurers are M&S, the policy provided by Aviva. These are big brands, always a part of my insurance decision. I don't think they can afford a Mickey Mouse approach. In the modern world of specialisation and cost efficiency it makes sense. M&S sell the policy, Aviva provide the cover and claims are handled by a specialist. I feel comfortable with this.
