Suppose I’d better attempt some sleep too. Supposed to get down to just 2 degrees overnight so the electric blanket is on.

19.1c in my bedroom now with no heating on.

Night night all .
Sorry for being awol since the 12th , not sure why to be honest. It wasn’t my intention, we were away last week but I still normally check in 😀. Think I must be enjoying being retired too much and it’s making my brain soft 😂. Anyway I am doing due penance and working though all the pages I have missed , only 25 more to go . 😀😀.

Good morning all.
Another damp and gloomy start to the day here. Rain is forecast for much of the day.
Today's plan is walk the dog as usual,
Breakfast , porridge, honey and mixed berries, then drive over to Chesham to help our son and girlfriend move house.
They are only moving about a mile from where they are now, but they have to be out of the house they are in by next Tuesday anyway, and a lot of their stuff has been moved in gradually over the last couple of weeks.
Another busy day in paradise.

Morning all, I woke up earlier with a thumping headache, horrible things. Anyway, still over 19c in the bedroom despite it only being 7c outside. A few dents and a bit of housework are my plans for today.

Cold but dry here, until 1400 when the rain is due.
My normal Thursday lunch time pub visit has been changed to today.
Apart from that I just have some basic chores to sort.

Same here. I went onto the Welsh NHS site and cancelled any further jabs. They hadn't contacted me since.

Cooooeeee. 10 deg here with a high of 13 deg. Def a change in the weather here. Brrrrr.

That was a chilly walk! I was warm enough when I was climbing but got colder and colder on the descent and felt really chilled by the time I got home. Thankfully sticking a storage heater on last night meant the house felt a bit warmer coming in and a bowl of porridge has helped. Cuppa required now.

Bonjour. I will need to ring Welsh Water today as I have noticed they have taken £79 this month on my direct debit. That can't t be right. We are on a meter and only 2 of us in the house. We don't have baths, only showers so it must be a mistake unless the cost of water has gone up by a hell of a lot.

Off to Minehead on the steam train today for lunch at Wetherspoons with our best mates, who we haven't seen for a couple of weeks.
We've all been busy with various visitors.
