Morning
Soooo - several things to do today
have to see why my debit cards don;t work with contactless at some point
I seldom use them as I normally use the credit card for everything
but when my head went AWOL I forgot the credit card PIN so used the others - they work fine but need their PIN because the tappy thing doesn;t work - no rejection just won;t operate!
plus I need to resurrect the credit card
plus I need to ring the GP and find out how to get some more tablets I was given at A&E
after that I have at appointment back at the hospital this afternoon at the stroke clinic
hopefully they will tell me I am OK to drive - although I kinda suspect they will say to stay out of the car for another few weeks
which will bugger up child care for the grand kids
and shopping - I'll have to try out Tesco delivery as there is some heavy/bulky stuff we need soon
Oh well
May not be the "problem" in your case, but.....
Debit cards will not work as contactless, until at least one PIN transaction has been completed successfully.
Because of her health condition, Mrs B seldom uses her debit card (typically, once per month, at hair dressers), in "tap mode". It "fails", and requires PIN input, with monotonous regularity, where as my (heavily used) Debit Card rarely requires Pin input (unless over the tap limit). My theory is that the "light use" is the problem, and upsets the banks algorithm for checking in some way.
