Just received an email from Netflix to advise me that the monthly fee is going up to £5.99 as from 11th March.
That's a £1 a month I increase. Should I cancel it?
That's an extremely good deal from Netflix. Is it the version with adverts?

We're on £17.99 for the advert free, 4000k version. We have a brand new TV and do get superb quality for this cost.

Keep.

Ours is due to rise by £2.

NF is still more than funded by our lack of TV licence.

Good afternoon. Dull, grey and a touch chilly though the bitterly cold east wind of the last few days has dropped.

Mrs P went out with #1SP at 10.30. I'm beginning to wonder where they've got to. It's very peaceful, so I'm not complaining. Tonight I have to go to Manchester to childmind and sleepover with #2SP, then take her to nursery in the morning.

I've been assessing the winter fence panel damage. Geez, this is going to be expensive. The local supplier is offering free delivery so that saves a bob or two. I'm going to order two extra and store them for future use. The biggest issue is always getting the panels delivered.

We have Prime. Mrs P buys a lot from Amazon meaning the free delivery is worthwhile. I find some films, usually the dross, are free, anything decent is around £3.49.

I agree Netflix is generally far better than Amazon plus it's all inclusive.

We order a lot of stuff from Amazon - the monthly sub' saves us a ton in postage.

We have sky and Netflix ( which the daughter pays for ) . I find I binge watch Netflix, I watch it a lot for a couple of months then don’t watch it at all for months .
With sky, we got it originally so we could watch TDF and other stuff on Eurosport . Now that’s closing in the uk , I am wondering if it’s worth having at all . I know one thing, I am not paying £31 to tnt to watch cycling etc. 😀

I've just got back from an hour on the bike, my feet are freezing..
Plus I found the front wheel riser for the turbo. I had somehow put it in a box and stowed it away in the bottom drawer of the cupboard in the shed. Doh.🙄

I am trying to stop the squeaking noise from my riser - it makes a racket at the tyre/riser interface.

The bike is permanently on it (second bike) and I am contemplating some rubber friendly silicone spray...

Good afternoon. A trip to Ashley Cross* , a suburb of Poole for a meet up with the " Second Friday " group. I know it's Tuesday but as this month the second Friday falls on Valentine's Day we decided to meet up today. First port of call was the Bermuda Triangle for a pint or two before heading over the road to the Brickies for a meal, then walk next door to the Butcher's Dog for " one for the road "
All in all a good day out with friends.
* Ashley Cross has seen an influx of people and is now seen as trendy. The incomers call it " Ashley Cross Village " and a Pétanque court has been installed in the small park, with a selection of short lived bijou establishments popping up around the area.

Had to visit my little holiday house in the south east yesterday to repair a storm damaged and rotten fence at the back of my garden and worked from first light till 5.15 pm with only half hour break. I found it very hard and felt exhausted after it so decided to be bold and reward myself. With the best intentions in the world I bought some junk( but promised myself to restrain consumption). Willpower totally dissolved and I consumed a 4 pack of cadbury choc bars , 5 small orange kit kats . I large packet of crisps ( sour cream ) and a big tub of strawberry yoghurt plus 2 cans of Guinness and then fell asleep in front of the telly and woke up at 2 am thirsty as a desert camel and feeling guilty. I was emitting loud farts that even Drago would be proud of . Never again ! ( till the next time ).

You been borrowing Mo’s book of healthy eating? 😊

I'm not sure if the guy who plumbed in the handbasin in the pub we visited today has supped a few before commencing work.
