Morning all

Lazy day today.
My modified hedgehog feeders seem to have foiled the cat last night; he had an attempt at entry, but couldn't get in. Success!

I need some odds and sods form town. Now that I have the car back, Mr WD wants fish and chips.

Well, after hearing some size 12 boots over our bedroom in the attic, we set a camera up.
Sighting was made:

A big bugger 😳
Operation RATS began (Radical Assault Termination Scheme).

The not-so-little sod/s ignored our traps (even the ones that I left unset to tease them), so I tossed some *cough* 'food' into that tricky to access area 👀
A week on, & the noises have definitely stopped 👍
No idea whether we will smell the body/bodies (I always assume if you have one rodent, you have several), but so long as the smell stays up there, that's fine 🤷‍♂️

Phew!

Meanwhile, we have a couple of new local cats who like to come down our driveway, plus a fox who has been seen on the Blink coming to the front door messing with plants for ages, so when our local Dobbies closed and had a 50% sale, we got a solar cat scarer & popped it down.
More success: clip last night shows the fox wander down then veer off away 💪

We don't make a thing of Valentines Day tbh. We are very romantic all year round.

I think the only time I have done the VD(!) thing was with teenage GF's - well before Mrs SD came along and lit up my life.

Just come back from a ride - managed 15 miles after popping into a shop for a Valentines present

at the half way point there was a bridge across the canal - there was a bloke coming in the other direction on a bike
we both slowed down and as we passed he looked at me an said
"We should have left this 'til summer!"

He was not wrong - my feet were freezing!!!!

I have returned. I went to town in my car. Mr WD stuffed his face with fish and chips. I had a snake and pygmy pie ( well that's what it was supposed to be.) I didn't like it. It tasted not right so I left it.

Enjoyed a good 2 hours at the pub. Drank very little, just a good natter.

Another wander done. That’s just over 8.5 miles recorded plus probably can round it up to 9 including my walk up to the supermarket.

Still cold but dry and no wind to speak of so feeling quite pleasant.

I might have a short siesta before Molly wants her tea.

Well the more girlfriends you have "done" it with the more likely you are to catch it

Day to myself, did some bookkeeping this morning for a couple of hours, fitted a new mudguard to my Brompton project bike, sorted my tool roll out for my volunteering job (cleaned everything and thinned it out a bit), and then out on my motorbike for a couple of hours, bloody cold but dry, and roads were fairly empty.

The girls are making cocktails this evening, so may get messy! Not my thing, I'll have a couple of beers instead.
